Tasty Caterers was co-founded by my daughter Eroshini, my son-in-law John and me.  Partnering with my daughter and son-in-law, we decided to combine our love for great Sri Lankan food and delicious cakes into this beautiful business venture that would truly change the Melbourne's Sri Lankan catering landscape for the better. Now, together we are showcasing our passion for authentic home cooked Sri Lankan gourmet cuisines that wows with fresh bold flavours and dynamic presentations.

Our family cooking secrets have been handed down over the generations. The authenticity and freshness shows in every preparation, whether it's Northern or Southern, or anything in between...it's just pure Sri Lankan!

As the founders and former owners of Curry Patch - Cranbourne, we passionately believe that honest home cooked Sri Lankan gourmet food can be made and delivered from a simple home based commercial kitchen rather than a large commercial setting, and we wanted to share it with everyone.
Our journey together...

"My passion for cooking started at a very early age, helping my mum in the family kitchen"
Krishanthi, a self-taught chef and culinary artist in Sri Lankan
Cuisine, found her passion for cooking at a very early age. She was raised in a family full of inspired cooks, and that meant helping her mum in the family kitchen, preparing and cooking meals for the big family dinner on a daily basis. This strong family culture proved to be very influential. It inspired her appreciation for real Sri Lankan food, exposed her to a wide variety of cooking techniques and taught her the importance of cooking fresh from scratch.

When Krishanthi isn't on chef duties, she enjoys activities such as watching SL teledramas, cooking shows, and spending precious time with her grandchildren.
"I’ve always had a serious passion for cooking as well as baking"
Eroshini began her baking journey with her love for all things sweets and lifelong passion for baking. Like her mum and her grandma before that Eroshini's cooking journey begin at a very early age, when she would come home from school to enjoy her grandmas’ fresh baked goodies. This daily baking ritual helping her grandma in the kitchen left a lasting impression. When Hiru grew up and moved to the Melbourne with hubby and kids, she brought along her grandmas’ carefully written recipes to share them with you.
"I am no cook, but I am passionately curious about food "
John; full time accountant, part time dad, kitchen hand, family chauffeur, taste-taster, entrepreneur, dragon slayer and occasional friend - what a job!

He also enjoys peaceful evenings with his wife and kids.
